CTS XHP is an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium alloy that can be described as either a high-hardness 440C stainless steel or a corrosion-resistant D2 tool steel. As a blade material, it offers superior edge retention and surface finish, can be sharpened to a very fine edge, and is extremely resistant to corrosion. To make the blade of this knife even more distinctive, it features a black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.
In Cutlery Shoppe's signature style, this knife also features high-visibility orange G-10 scales with a non-slip peel-ply texture. All other features of this knife are faithfully consistent with the Military 2 platform, including nested stainless steel liners, lightweight, open-backed construction, a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism, a four-position pocket clip, and a generously sized lanyard hole. To complement the blade's DLC finish, the liners, clip, and all other handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
