A carved wood jaguar skull, fully covered in thousands of individually hand-set glass seed beads (chaquira) using the traditional beeswax-and-resin technique passed down through generations of Wixárika artisans. The roaring jaguar is a sacred figure in Huichol cosmology a shamanic guardian spirit. The diamond and star patterns reference the "Ojo de Dios" (Eye of God), symbolizing insight and protection; the vivid banded colors lining the jaw reflect visionary imagery central to Huichol ceremonial art.
