This is a team issued jersey from Wilson with the correct prestige teams logo and patches for the season and custom measurements that marked every 1992 Atlanta Braves uniform . In 1992 Jason Schmidt, a Braves draft bust but future All Star pitcher for the Giants, was playing his rookie season in the minor league system. Back in 1992 uniforms for teams like the Pulaski and Macon Braves, where Schmidt was playing, were very similar to those of the major league team. Partially because it made it easy to swap uniforms between the major and minor league clubs. Which created a practice of uniforms being used by multiple players or players wearing uniforms for different levels of clubs to save money. I do not know what Jason Schmidt’s number was in the 1992 season on either of the clubs he played for with any certainty.

All this being said to most likely belonged to Jason Schmidt while he was playing with the Macon or Pulaski Braves. The uniform is a 40 chest with 32x26 pants. The uniform shows clear signs of use with various stains on it from what is probably dirt. The uniform is certainly team issues and probably game worn in the minor leagues in 1992.
