Rarely seen now - an unopened and authenticated 1991 Topps Desert Shield Pack. This pack was part of the original allotment of packs authenticated by BBCE years ago. This pack was purchased directly from BBCE a number of years ago and comes sealed with their authentication.

Now is your chance to build a complete set from this rare parallel that features numerous key cards including one of the rarest Chipper Jones rookie card!This is one of the rarest mainstream sets of the 90’s. At the very start of production of the 1991 Topps Desert Shield set, Topps began experimenting with an ink brightener. The brightener was added to the red ink and "glows" under UV light.

The set was issued to raise morale and show support for out troops overseas during Operation Desert Shield, which only lasted for 6 weeks.According to Tim Boyle, Topps spokesperson at the time, the production run for each card was limited to around 6,000,000.Due to the brevity of the campaign, many of the cards were burned or never distributed.

Over the next several weeks, I will be saleing off ungraded as well as cards graded by both SGC and PSA.I will also be sale off unopened packs purchased from troops returning overseas.Some of the packs have been authenticated by BBCE and some will be raw.All are guaranteed authentic, unopened and unsearched.

Seller does not take responsibility for wax or gum staining on cards, if any. Cards have been independently sealed over the BBCE authentication stickers (see photo) to minimize changes in humidity. Returns Allowed on Unopened Material:

***This 1991 Topps Desert Shield pack was authenticated by BBCE and sealed in a hard plastic case. The case was then shrink wrapped in a BBCE sealed wrapper with a BBCE sticker on top of the wrapper. I have further sealed the pack in an extra large heat sealed wrap (not shown) to prevent moisture from entering the pack. Returns accepted for 30 days as long as the BBCE seal and wrapping are not cracked, torn, opened or otherwise altered.
