Rare Vintage Wilton Cake Decorating Sampler Kit – 1960's - early 1970's, unused and complete mail in promotional sampler set. Have not been able to find another kit like this.
This offering is a vintage Wilton mini cake decorating sampler kit, originally mailed directly to customers as a promotional introduction to Wilton’s cake decorating system.
Unlike standard retail Wilton sets, sampler kits such as this were intended for immediate use, often opened upon receipt and discarded after a single project. As a result, complete and unused examples are seldom encountered today, making this a notable survivor.
This set remains unused and includes:
Original Wilton icing bag and plastic coupler
Three Wilton decorating tips
Original packaging
The simplicity of the kit reflects Wilton’s early marketing approach—providing aspiring decorators with a small but functional introduction to professional-style piping techniques. Pieces like this helped build the foundation of what would become the widely recognized Wilton Method of Cake Decorating.
Ideal for:
Wilton and cake decorating collectors
Vintage kitchen and baking ephemera collections
Display alongside Wilton Course I/II materials
Collectors of mail-order and promotional culinary items
A scarce and well-preserved example documenting the history of home cake decorating and Wilton’s instructional legacy.
Please note this is a "new" set that has been stored since the mid 60's/early 70's. While it has not been used, it does show signs of age in darkening of box and old tape, the pamphlet is a bit faded. Please examine photos closely to note condition. Thank you!
