After more than 60 years, the combat details are vivid, gory and starkly colored. The complete set of 88 cards, including Index, are from the 1962 Topps Civil War News collection. With the exception of one card, the used cards have had a single owner for 60 years. I am not a card grader but drawing on what I’ve seen in PSA and other certifier websites, I believe these cards are excellent to very good. The colors still show original gloss in some. Some have slight visible surface wear, off white on some borders, a few scuffs and creases.Some corners are gently rounded. About 15 cards are off center.
All headlines on the artwork – and detailed news brief on the back of each card – are crisp and readable. These have been well cared for.
