Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Acoustic Electric Guitars
I saw this guitar on Ebay (Fender CN240SCE Thinline with Cutaway body). I went to the two guitar stores in my area and tested (for tone) the three examples they offered of this guitar. All of them sounded as good or better than the more expensive offerings. I noticed that it had a bone nut and saddle. The action was set nice and low. Also present was a Truss Rod which the others did not have. I appreciated this fact, because I do my own guitar setups, and without a Truss Rod for fine tuning, the setup can suffer. A closer inspection reveals "Fan Bracing" on the underside of the top of the guitar. This style is the one used by some of the oldest guitar makers, and the kind used by the maker of Segovia's guitar. (Forgive my inability to recall the names of these gentlemen.) All in all, together with the thin body style and the cutaway shape, I believe that this guitar has just about all there is to offer in a Classical Guitar. The Fender team has done it yet again. All the best, John.Read full review
