The clock was fun a n easy to build I guess it took 4/5 hours. It doesn't keep very good time and stops often. Take the time to do the graphite step. There are more expensive ones if you want more of a time piece. It does work. Don't make the mistake of using bbs Use lead shot or it won't be heavy enough.

Im sure not all of there clock kits were cut like mine. Something was off when cutting the parts out. All the holes were off angle. Trying to get a hold of Abong is next to impossible buy phone. I sent pics to there email, they told me it was all in specs. no way to make mine work.. If your'e looking for a clock kit. Wood decor has very nice ones. Lily or the cronos. They cost more, vary worth it tho.

I bought my clock from a thrift store, so this is no reflection on any eBay sellers. The instructions are fairly clear, but need a little work to draw attention to details that, if you miss, will result in a clock that is built incorrectly. Since you must glue the pieces together, that is a mistake that is irreversible. Yes, the company will send you replacement parts if you ask, but not very cheaply. Construction could have been made easier. Having to cut and sand and glue so much makes it a much slower construction than something you might buy from another company. For this particular clock, their weight requirement for the ballast is unreasonable, or too expensive. They do not provide the weight, rather you are to fill a tube with lead. Nothing short of lead is likely to reach the required weight goal. But I have a simple hack for that which is the primary purpose for this review. Instead of looping the cord through the pulley of the ballast and connecting it back to the clock, use a slip knot around that pulley. Switching from two lines supporting the ballast to one cuts the necessary weight requirement in half. That is much easier to achieve. Even with that mod I must admit that their design is unreliable. If your clock stops ticking frequently then you have the same result as I do.Read full review

ONLY IF YOU HAVE PATIENCE! It takes a lot of sanding and patience, sadly I have not, and broke some of the pegs. But you can use long metal screws. And for it work you need to follow the instructions exactly. The final result was awe inspiring. Very awesome clock.

What a wonderful kit. Fine precision cut very little pre prep needed. Easy clear to follow instructions with step by step picture guides. Couldn't find one error in print or pieces that needed me to guess or interpret. Loved it. P.S. recommend diving weight ball bearings for the counter weight.
