I bought this series because the premise sounded interesting. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the kissing aspect does not take over the whole novel. I have read volumes 1, 2, and 5 and I have found the novels to be well paced and interesting. The characters are realistic and the plot is not sci-fi or pure horror, but a good blend of comedy, drama and some mild romance. The book is welldrawn and does not leave you re-reading sections over trying to figure out what just happened. This is a series that does not require a lot of deep thought to understand and is a good, all around read. There is also translations for sound effects and cultural references. The only things that I did not like was the occasional sync issue with keeping wording inside a space and one whole chapter where the gender of a dog was switched for half of the chapter (why would a girl call her dog "he" when she knew it was a female), however these issues do not occur very often.Read full review
Read this when I was in highschool, finally have my own copy of the collection. Love this series, great quality and price.

Quite frankly, I wasn't sure what to expect when I glimpsed "Her Majesty's God, Vol. 1" upon the bookshelf. All I knew is that I had to have it, especially after reading the back of the book. I definitely recommend it for anyone who is intrigued by the idea of demon guardians, teenage psychics, and high school life.
I love this book and have been trying to collect the series. It's a great story to have and is just as good as other mangas, not too short nor too long.
