Great Minimalist Pack
I love this pack. I bought this to use mostly as luggage. I do special details out of town and needed something I could load up some clothes, shaving kit and a few extra items into and go. It holds a couple of day's worth of clothes easily. The shoulder straps are old school and very solid. Maybe not comfortable for heavier loads but does fine for me for my use. I simply taped the 2 sets of shoulder straps together and it works fine. I have heard some people cut off the straps that are meant to be attached to a web belt but I think it would kind of bugger up the looks of it. The one I got had extra nylon straps on it which was really nice and allows me to attach a rolled up jacket or even my woobie to the outside. The one I received was in great condition. If it was ever used it wasn't ... I love this pack. I bought this to use mostly as luggage. If it was ever used it wasn't used much at all. The leather needed conditioned but that is to be expected. Two treatments of conditioner brought the leather back and looking good. The canvas itself is bombproof. Old school heavy cotton duck canvas. I waterproofed it with some Camp Dry initially because of the cold weather but will definitely use some Otter Wax this coming spring. Overall a great pack and well worth every penny. Shipping was very fast, too. Took less than a week even with the holidays. May very well buy another one to have an extra. If you are thinking about buying it, go ahead and do it. These packs are durable, simple and look great.
