Just watching and listening to the train along with the smoke reminded me of days gone by. Does all the things you want it to do and it just keeps on tracking. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the on/off switch for the train to work requires that you hold the train pretty still to turn it on. All and all its well worth it and would highly recommend it for all ages, even at 70 yrs. old!!!

First of all, some of the tracks are a pain to put together. Then I had to put WD40 on the wheels because it squeaked like hell. Don't expect this train to go fast or for long. When I turn it on it doesn't take long before the train starts to slow and then comes to a stop, which is about five minutes. You can push the engine to make it go again, but it doesn't last for long. It goes back to its top speed if you turn it off and on again, but it'll keep doing the exact same thing. If the sounds/steam are on at the time, the sounds will keep going. It can pull a few light kids toys in the carts, which is what I bought it for and it easily fits around the tree. It works for such a cheap train and since it's all plastic, it doesn't matter too much if the kids are rough with it.

gRANDson loves it and watches and plays with it for a while at a time considering how hard for a 3 year old to stay still.... He has already broken the smoke stack off and I have glued it back on but just temp., I am sure!!! He is really rough on things but so far so good holding up to a 3 year old !!! So thankful for this train to keep him occupied-- Thank you!!

Great product, you can turn off-on the smoke feature, lights and sounds or just the motion. fits perfectly under my 7 feet christmas tree, we decorated the the wagons for the holidays even throw a few candy canes and chocolates in. Its not posible to play your own season songs, nor it comes with them. Very affordable and seems to be durable!
