Perfect radio if you want 11 meters and freeband. 10m and 12m is pretty much a dead band. Transmit is good enough to drive a cheap 250w cb linear amplifier. Receive needs to be improve to get rid of the constant hissing. Sideband Dxing is a joy to use on 27.385mhz USA and 27.555mhz EU. AM and FM is also perfect for local rag chewing cause I can use the squelch to get rid of the hiss. like to use the 32mhz range for private communication so I bought two. I can't wait to check-out the 6meter 100watt model, still cheap compared to ham radio models. Hope for a DIY mods to quite the receive white noise. 73's AL Naperville,IL

These are still very sought after radios. Their SSB audio is excellent. You can use these on 10 meter repeaters on FM as long as they don't require tones. Some use them on 11 meters as well. On the one I purchased I went through and recapped the radio and changed the background light color on the screen. Nice power output of around 30 to 35 watts. Can be turned up but not needed. Getting harder to find these without golden screwdrivers been into them or noise toys added.
