My AC would barely cool the house this summer. My wife wanted an AC guy out to fix our air conditioner. Of course, he wanted to sell us a new system ($5,000+). I found this stuff on e-Bay and decided to spend a little to save a lot. Boy did this stuff work. For the first time this summer, my wife was getting too cold and asked me to turn the air down! Our HVAC now shuts off when it's supposed to instead of working overtime just to keep up. I knew our inside coil needed something when I saw it was freezing up. The AC guy said we had enough refrigerant, but we needed a new system. That was total BS! I used this product and our central air conditioner was up and running right within 30 minutes! (no clean-up required after application) I'm getting one of these for next year's spring maintenance. MAKE SURE TO DE-ENERGIZE THE SYSTEM BEFORE APPLICATION!Read full review

Safe is a relative word! With knowlege and applied safety precautions, the user will be kept safe as well as their AC Unit! Directions don't indicate this product is harmful if inhaled (except in the first Aid Section)! Otherwise it "Does Not" in the "Precaution Section" or the in the "Directions" for use. Also it doesn't indicate if coils that deliver air into the room are cleaned, all resedue must be thoroughly rinsed and dried to avoid breathing vapors or fumes! I cleaned the condenser coils and conditioned air/heat exchanger coils on my indoor portable AC Unit and I suffered for nearly 4 days. Severe throat irritation w/immense pain, body aches, bronchial irritation & coughing w/ yellowish phlem produced. I've recovered but believe the assumption by the Mfg & the AC industry is that the Condition Air/heat exchanger coils are rarely cleaned due to the difficulty in accessing them. The warnings indicate that the product is corosive or a skin irratant. Inhalation issues are not identified except in the First Aid Section of the label. In the precautions section, it simpy idendifies skin, eye and face protection but nothing about respritory protection or the need for adequate ventilation. So this review is meant to help educate and warn potential buyers not to do as I did! As far as how well it cleans the coils, it does work very well.Read full review

Most so called cleaners don't do all they say they will. I used this product on my RV A/C unit to clean all the coils. It went right to work loosening the dirt, grime and oil residue. The scrub brush on top of the cap really came in handy to work on those tough spots. I also used my shop-vac blower to blow out some of the loose dirt and debris. Then resprayed the unit. Came out super clean and cools great.

This stuff works wonders. My apartment's pthc unit (packaged heat pump in the wall) had slimy gunk literally pushing through the fins of the coils. Sprayed this cleaner on and let it sit for about 15 mins then scrubbed using the included brush cap. No need to rinse any of the foam residue as the coils sweating will rinse it off. It looked super clean and allowed the air to flow much more efficiently which meant the AC was getting colder because of it. Had to reuse it the other day for same reason but my unit wasn't taken care of by previous tenant. Luckily this stuff works!

I used this Frost King foaming A/C condenser-coil cleaner on the fins of my outdoor unit in accordance with the instructions on the can. It does very little more than dish soap spayed on the fins and a hose-down would not do. The main reason I bought it was to get rid of white deposits on the A/C fins. It did absolutely nothing to those. Another problem with this spray cleaner is the fact that it foams as it leaves the can, before it hits the intented target. So, it does not penetrate the A/C condenser-coil fins, unless they are very widely spaced and the can is held real close to them, which would make it spatter a lot. This alone makes it unsuitable and a poor product for many outdoor A/C units, which have fins about 1 mm apart.
