Yaesu FT-100 Ham / Amateur Ham Transceiver Radio For Sale

This is an FT100 by Yaesu. This radio was taken out of service after it lost TX and RX due to a close by lightning strike. The strike did not directly hit the radio and I believe the damage is due to the EMI from the strike. This may be something as simple as a PIN diode or a relay. I am honestly not sure. The radio does power on, all buttons work on the head unit and mic. You can also hear static, and does transmit a small amount of power on VHF. Relays click and radio does enter transmit mode when keyed up. I simply can\'t afford to get it looked at and fixed. This radio may be a good project radio for anyone who works on them and I hope it can find a home where it continues to serve someone well if it\'s fixed. In overall good cosmetic condition. There\'s a few normal wear & tear scrapes on the very top and bottom of the radio but hardly visible. The screws holding the covers on are not the original and missing one screw. The negative wire has became disconnected from the solder tab on the back of the speaker and is a quick two minute repair. If you\'re not interested in fixing it, It would also make a good parts radio considering most of the rig does work. I know the mic and head unit are 100% functional and most all individual components inside the radio should be good too, except for the parts directly causing the no TX/RX issue. Happy offerding! Amendment: This item also includes the CAT connector which I disconnected accidently before I took the pictures. The CAT harness will be included with the shipment along with about a 8-10\' power wire harness that\'s also not shown in the pictures.
