WWII Russian, Soviet, Mundir dress tunic, coat, uniform For Sale

WWIIRussianM 1943Mundirdress tunic for Infantry lieutenant. In napped olive green heavy wool with infantry maroon piping. Thetunic has correct metal cuff bars, one per cuff, designating junior officerrank and maroon collar tabs with a single junior officer metal bar in gold (forcombat personnel). The buttons are original to the tunic, plain black backs. Theshoulder boards are original five-sided war time issue (post-war six-sidedboards are not pointed but flat by the button), in gold cloth tress (notmetallic), piped in maroon, with one brass officer star on each. The two medals are for Stalingrad and forCombat Service (numbered 1,089,565)…I don’t know if they are original to thetunic but they look nice.

The tunic is in excellent+ condition. Ithardly shows any wear, and has no damage or moth holes. The liner is clean and sound, with only veryminor wear along the neck. The size is small,maybe a 36” inch chest at most. Althoughstrong enough to be worn, I’m selling this as a piece of military history andnot for reenactment. Therefore I won’tguarantee an exact size or fit.

This style of uniform is often referredto as an officer\'s \"Victory Parade\" uniform, because although it is a 1943model it was most noticeable during the 1945 Moscow victory parade over Germany.This is an attractive and very distinctive dress tunic.
