WWI GERMAN 98/05 MAUSER BUTCHER BAYO-SIMSON & CO SUHL 1916-LEATHER SCABBARD-FROG For Sale

Good condition and guaranteed original WWI Imperial German98/05 Mauser butcher bayonet that is maker marked “SIMSON & CO. SUHL” onthe left side blade ricasso and dated 1916 on the spine. Blade has originalbright finish with some gray and brown and shows some heavy sharpening.Remaining metal finish is brown and gray. Wood grips have original finish and agood tight fit, lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original leatherscabbard that has steel throat and tip. Leather shows some normal wear,stitching shows some slipping. One of the tip staples is broken. Also completewith correct original leather frog. Leather is soft and supple with some wearand flaking, stitching and rivets are nice and tight. A good honest 98/05bayonet rig for your collection.
