WW 2, U.S. Wool Service Dress Coat with 29th ID and 5th ID Patches Original For Sale

Currently available is this original Enlisted Man\'s Wool Service Dress Coat with 29th Infantry Division Patch and 5th Infantry Division Combat Patch made by Ettleson of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) in 1943. Both the 5th Infantry Division and the 29th Infantry Division would see extensive action with the 29th landing on D-Day and both divisions fighting across France and into Germany. Officially nomenclatured as, Coat, Wool Serge, OD, 18 oz, this coat is part of the enlisted man\'s four pocket winter service dress uniform made in a size 37 Long fitting a 37\" (94.0 cm) chest, 19\" (48.2 cm) sleeve length and 33\" (83.8 cm) overall length with a four button front and Sergeant First Class rank on either sleeve, a discharge badge (\"Ruptured Duck\") above the right pocket, enlisted Infantry insignia on the collars, with a Combat Infantry Badge (CIB), Bronze Star ribbon, wound, good conduct and European Theater ribbon with four campaign stars above the left pocket, four overseas duty ribbons on the lower left sleeve and a 5th Infantry Division combat patch on the right sleeve and a 29th Infantry Division patch on the left.
