whistler automaton carved wood griesbaum musical figure For Sale

this is a old carved wood whistler figure. when you wind it up and push the lever on its back down it begins to whistle a tune and its head turns back and forth. it plays a song I am not familiar with. I turned the key about 4 half turns and it played the song 2 times. I had to reactivate the switch each time. meaning after the song is done it stops. then I moved the lever again and it plays the song again. it is real neat but it is very old. I have no idea how old it is or if it should be louder then it is. my guess is it will need to be cleaned up, most likely could use some oil. and I don\'t know what else. it does whistle like I said and the head turns but its old. I give no guarantee. it is sold as is. you are buying a very old item. I ship in the us only. I looked it over real good and I see the umbrella handle may have been cracked and glued at one time. the back has a pin at the bottom that is bent so it no longer holds the door on correctly. it looks like someone taped the bottom of the back door at one time, glue residue from the tape is present on the lower back base. it could use a cleaning. but it is a real nice item for its age.
