We love vintage American cookware! Getting it to you is a multi-step journey, a journey well worth the time and effort! It begins with the hunt. We live in the American south, a region where cornbread and pinto beans is still a popular favorite. Weekends are buying opportunities and we shop estate sales, antique stores, resale shops and yard sales. We travel far and wide. Each piece we buy we research the manufacturer and tell you about its unique history. Learning about American cast iron has been a real pleasure! Although Griswold seems to be the most popular and sought after vintage cookware, don\'t overlook manufacturers like Birmingham Stove and Range, Wagner and Lodge all of whom have created wonderful pieces of cookware. We only buy and sell vintage pieces. Your cast iron has been carefully cleaned using a low amperage electrolysis procedure, then seasoned at least twice using canola oil. Before using, give it a coat of your favorite oil to keep it seasoned. After each use wipe it clean and recoat with oil. Bon Appetit!
