Up for offer is a Vintage Texaco Service Station Hat. For fun, I am going to start the sale at $1.00 with .
My dad bought this hat on about 10 years ago. I have no otherhistory on the hat. I do not know if it is the "real deal" or not. It looks real to me, but I am no expert. I have asked around and I have heard a few comments that question the braiding on the hat and the fact that the buttons are not embossed "Texaco". I will leave it up to you, the potential buyers, to decide what the value is on this hat. Please take a look at all the pictures and ask any questions you have. I will do my best to answer you.
1. The hat is marked on the inside with "Sweet-Orr & Co., Union Made, New York".
2. Green wool hat with dark, cream colored braiding.
3. Buttons are plain.
4. Texaco patch.
5. Black brim has some areas of wear.
6. A few holes (moths?).
7. This hat is small (please look at pictures).
All in all, I think this hat is in great shape and would make an interesting addition to yourTexaco collection.
