Vintage Schilke B3 trumpet - Gold plated; circa 1961 For Sale

Big, open player with a full rich sound that projects very well. Personally, I like a very tight, resistant horn, which this is not. It\'s more on the free-blowing side.Cosmetics: Pretty nice looking overall. The goldplate has some wear in spots, and you can see some of the silverplate underneath, mainly on the 2nd slide and around the bell rim. There is also some raw brass poking thru in wear spots, mainly at contact points. There are approx 3-4 minor bumps/dings. There\'s 2 very small protective patches on the 1st and 3rd valve cluster knuckles. I was told by the previous owner that Ren Schilke himself added these when goldplating the horn in 1967, if I remember correctly.Mechanics: Excellent. Valves have great compression. All slides move properly. A 3rd slide waterkey was added at some point in it\'s life. Horn is gig-ready immediately. - Generic case included. I am totally open to a fair offer, but please consider the exorbitant /paypal fees I will be incurring, which significantly inhibit my flexibility here.
