1. Ross Grimsley Sr. game used lefty model glove.Nokona DH model. Poor overall condition with stiff leather, torn inside lining and the wrist strap is detached. The web and fingers have been re-laced. Has Grimsley written twice (on the back of the thumb and on the back of the pinky finger).
2. Three circa 1960's-70's baseballs from Ross Grimsley Jr's amateur and professional career.Includes the 1968 Tennessee American Legion state championship baseball when Ross Jr. pitched a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the MemphisSperosbeat Clarksville 17-0. Also includes a game used 1969 Northern League baseball with very faint labeling and an early 1970's game used National League baseball. Neither the Northern League or National League balls have any writing or notations on them. The balls are in fair to good condition. The State Championship baseball is the nicest. Memphis went on to win the American Legion National Championship in 1968. Ross Jr. was a first round draft pick by the Cincinnati Reds in 1969.
3. 1957 Toronto Maple Leafs 8 x 10 team photo.Very nice condition. Ross Sr. hand wrote each players name on back. Every player on the team played in the major leagues at some point including former Negro Leaguers Sam Jethroe and Hector Rodriguez. The Maple Leafs manager was Dixie Walker.
Ross Grimsley Sr. played professional baseball from 1946-61 including with the 1951 White Sox. Mr. Grimsley won 129 games in the Minor Leagues over 16 seasons. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW2.
Ross Grimsley Jr.played in the major leagues from 1971-82. His lifetime record was 124-99. He won 2 games in the 1972 World Series as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, he won 18 games in 1974 as a member of the Baltimore Orioles and won 20 games in 1978 as a member of the Montreal Expos.
