A beautiful vintage and hard to find vintage original 2nd Pattern Model 1917 bayonet scabbard circa WWII. This scabbard is a complete piece with a great leather over wood body and steel throat and ferrule. Both the throat  and ferrule sheet metal have the \"GF in an oval\" stamping as shown. Ferrule has the hole. Staples are tight. No makers mark but an inspection mark of \"FJB\" (?) on the upper middle top. Scabbard is in great condition with no rust, cracks, dents, corrosion, heavy wear, missing/replaced parts or repairs.
