VINTAGE F. E. OLDS RECORDING TRUMPET W/MOUTH PIECE & CASE Made In LOS ANGLES CA For Sale

You are offerding on an Olds Recording trumpet.  Made in Los Angeles CA. Looks to be made in the 1950\'s according to the serial number, but I\'m not sure.  I don\'t know much about trumpets, so you will have to research that.  There is only one very small flat spot or dent that I can find shown in the 5th picture. The trumpet is dirty, and the finish is worn, and old. It needs professional cleaning and I\'m sure it needs a professional to go over it and get it to good playing condition. The removable pipes are removable, and not stuck, but some are quite tight.  The valves work, and don\'t get stuck, but seem to need cleaning.  I do not know how to determine the condition of the valves, so look at the pictures. I can send more pictures if you message me.  The spit valves, or whatever they are called, work, but look like they need new seals.  It has not been played in years.  Comes with a Conn case, which is in solid condition, but the corner seam stitching is falling apart, and the side handle has a partial crack. The case brochure is included, and the felt sock for the trumpet is included.  Someone left an old car air freshener in the case, so it smells like... Well... a car air freshener that sat in a case for since the 1970\'s. Not the greatest smell.  I am selling the trumpet as is, and in need of restoration.  I don\'t play a trumpet (guitar) but I hear that this is one of the finest trumpets ever made, and it should be with someone who will play it.  No returns.
