I have decided to part with this wonderful old pocket adding and subtraction machine, used with the old British £sd currency.

Made in Germany during the mid-1950\'s, it is called the \"Duplex\". Later also the \"Addiator\"

Operated by inserting a pointed metal \"pencil-stylus\" in the appropriate hole and moving the columns downwards, it is cleared by raising the handle at the top.

It has addition one side and subtraction the other.

It has survived in fair order, but has lost its original\"pencil-stylus\" that would have fitted into the clip on the right-hand side, but any pointed object could be used.
