Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Mexican Taxco Sterling Silver pendant that can also be worn as a pin.
Handcrafted by talented designer and silversmith Francisco Rivera. He honed these skills while working for William Spratling. Much of his work was marked for Emma, for whom he both designed and produced silver jewelry.
Francisco Rivera's distinctive style is characterized by bold designs manufactured of heavy gauge silver.
The pendant measures 1-11/16" long, 1-5/8" wide and weighs 19g. The bail has a 7/32" inside diameter approximately and it is open for easy mounting.
The back of the piece is stamped "Taxco 925 Mexico" and the maker's hallmark FR (conjoined ornate script) with the eagle number: 3.
