Vintage MEDICAL Doctor skull hand Drill old surgical trepanning tool Instrument For Sale

I have for sale this vintage Treppanning hand drill. I believe it was used for drilling holes in a human or animals skull toreleasepressure on the brain. It is Stamped A.V.S. Co. Ipresumethis is the manufacturer, But I am unable to find the name of the company. and or the age of the tool. It is remarkable barely used condition. It has been used on something, because there is something ( residue or sorts) on one of the cutters. There is two cutters on this tool. There is a 7/8\'\' diameter cutter, and a slightly larger that an 1\'\' diameter cutter on the other end. Both Cutters are tapered Or flange larger. Also The pilot hole bit depth can be adjusted. ( see picture 10). The handle is marked number 18. and the collar that the cutters are mounted on is marked 18 as well. It is an all original tool. The box appears to be original and in fine shape also. Please see pictures for condition. ask questions and any information will be appreciated.
