Vintage HEUER Super Autavia dash mount Rally Timer Chronograph For Sale

Up for sale is a used HEUER Super Autavia dashboard Chronograph with original Heuer-signed dashboard mounting plate. I believe this is an example of the 2nd revision ofthe Super Autavia model, likely dating to the mid 1960s.

Please note that this watch runs fast by several minutes per hour, and it will need cleaning or professional servicing to keep accurate time.Any costs incurred for subsequent cleaning or servicing are the responsibility of the new owner, and are not included in the sale price.

• This chronograph is Heuer\'s 2rd version of the Heuer Super Autavia dashboard chronograph, which dates to the mid 1960s.
• All 5 watch hands are all present and straight, are properly aligned, and move as they should. (See photos)
• The the clock runs fast by several minutes per hour, and will need a cleaning and, or, professional watch service for it to keep correct time. The issue appears to be that the balance does not swing quite as far as it should, which therefore increases the beat-rate. Prior servicing history is unknown, and any old lubrication may be gummy, etc.
• The mainspring is good, and does not slip.
• The clock runs steadily and the watch runs continuously for over 36 hours upon a full wind-up.
• The dial is in good condition (see photos).
• The movement looks to be inverygood condition, and is complete, with no missing parts.
• The 12-hour milled edge outerbezelrotates as expected, and gives an appropriate level of turning-resistance when rotated.
• The winding crown and side pusher button are in good working and cosmetic condition.
• Button and crown functions for time-set, stopwatch start, stop, and reset to zero are all working properly,
• The watch crystal is clear, but has some light scratching. (See photos for crystal condition.)
• The chrome case is in good cosmetic condition (see photos)
• The original Heuer-signed dash-mount plate is shiny and in good condition (See photos)
