vintage custom made Native American Indian trade knife dag dagger & sheath For Sale

This unique knife is 9 3/4 inches long overall with a 4 inch double edged carbon steel blade. The blade appears to be made from either a section of sword blade or bayonet tip. It is attached to the handle with a very tight hard rawhide cord. The handle is stag (antler) with an inlaid heart on one side made of brass tacks. The knife comes with a leather sheath. The sheath is held together with brass tacks. The leather appears to me to have originally been a wide saddle or gun belt. This item is used and has wear. The blade has sharpening marks. The sheath has cracking in the leather on the front. Both the knife and sheath have nice patinas. This item appears to me to be genuinely old, but I\'m not really an expert. Its exact age & origin are unknown. Shipping is $8.65
