Offered here is a SUPER QUALITY, MADE IN USA STRONG BOX! This is a great box with a CHANGEABLE COMBINATION LOCK.*
NOTE: Thelid is smooth and paint is without imperfections. The reflection in the photos is from the hand-trowelled wall finish.Inside is perfect. Outside shows minor wear. Some scratching on bottom of box (see last photo). One end has a swing up handle. Lid opens with two hinges. Inside is marked with original tag reading:

Such a great lock box for your important papers (courtesy of The Franklin Life Insurance Company). This belonged to my father who purchased a life insurance policy from Franklin in 1949. Evidently insurance companies gave customers nice metal lock boxes for their policies back in the day.
The tumbler numbers are brass and are pick resistant. The box and lock work like new! Compare this to new boxes made overseas that have gaps around the number dials and are loose and shaky. This box is a QUALITY box that was meant to do its job. You will be pleased with this item. Quality made products like this are EXPENSIVE now, so DON\'T LOSE THIS ONE!*To change the number of the combination simply open the box (I will send it unlocked to the combination number) go to the small box behind the tumblers and push the little switch to the left and up till it stops (you may need a coin to help you do this as the lock is super strong.) Once you have pushed the lever to the left and the top set the combination to whatever number you prefer. Write the number down and memorize it. Then move the tab in the back (the same one you used to set the lock number) down and to the right where it was before. That\'s it! You have set a new number! You can do this as often as you like, but don\'t lose the number!
