VINTAGE BUCK DEROSIER REDHEAD DRAKE DUCK DECOY ONTARIO NICE FORM For Sale

Up for sale is a neat and folky, glassy Redhead Drake made by Buck DeRoiser of Belle River, Ontario, ca. 1940. Belle River is located on the southern shore of Lake St. Clair not far from the Michigan border. This solid decoy in in old working paint and certainly shows some wear from use including chipping to the bill and tail and various nicks and bumps from use in the field. It exhibits some nice comb painting on the body and good bill carving. Has a couple of shot marks on the head, which is in a nice tucked position. Also has a good uplifted tail. Retains its original glass eyes and full rigging including a leather anchor line strap and a lead strip weight. Measures 14-1/2” long; 6” wide and 5-1/2” tall.
