Please help me with my education if you can...Received 9/21/20014, sometimes all you have to do is ask. There is an untapped \"fountain of knowledge\" among users. Dear aguevu,\"This Hair Collector was used in the Victorian Period on Milady\'s dresser to collect hair from her brush and comb. Most hair was re-used to stuff pincushions and in stuffing small furnishings, such as footstools. Most human hair during that period was used to stuff small, fine bags, called ratts which were then placed under Milady\'s hair to plump it up. Some hair was braided and used to fashion rings, bracelets, necklaces, and even coiled into glass-fronted lockets. There are Museums which feature hair jewelry in Dearborn Michigan, and in Minneapolis Minnesota.\" Some information was found in Wikipedia, and in an Antique Jewelry Book.
