Up for sale are my great pair of vintage early Altec Lansing 515s. These are of the first variation and last generation produced in Hollywood, CA. They are in great condition and were recently professionally re-coned with a vintage USA made old stock cone. Too often are these are are re-coned using newer 515B style cone and accordion spider or new foreign manufactured cone. This completely changes the dynamics of the speaker. This pair of speakers are restored to their original configurations and specifications using period correct cones of the highest quality. You won\'t be able to find any other 515\'s with this quality of a rebuild. This speaker was reconed by a professional who has been repairing speakers for 40+ years. Utilizing the original style of cone and phenolic spider (as originally outfitted) you\'re able to fully appreciate the period correct style and tone associated with this lost style of speaker. Buying and using original 515\'s that have their original cones is \"very risky\" as the 65+ year old paper cones become brittle with age and should be replaced before being used.
