Vintage 1940's Elmer Riddle GoldSmith DW Split Finger US NAVY Baseball Glove For Sale

This is an Amazing Condition Vintage (1940's) WWII U.S.N. (NAVY) Elmer Riddle GoldSmith DW Split Finger, Button-Back Baseball Glove/Mitt AND THE U.S.N BALL The glove features a "hand formed pad" measures 9½"x 10½" and is endorsed by Elmer Riddle, 1939 -'49 (facsimile signature on side of heel) With U.S.N featured on the back strap and BALL. Uncommonly soft, thickly padded leather; firm yet flexible. No holes, rips, or tears inside or out. Horsehide lining exceptionally soft and smooth - very comfortable. Rolled leather piping in very good condition. Seams are good; crotch/thumb seam guard solid. Previous owner marked his name as seen in the picture. I imagine after cleaning, the marking may be removed. Nice 40's split finger displays as well from back as from front, is a pleasure to wear, and enjoyable to use. This one is in better condition than most and unlike any I have ever seen it also INCLUDES THE U.S.N BALL!!
