This sale is for an Original and Very Scarce Prototype 2nd Generation Springfield Armory SPIW Bayonet and Scabbard. Comes with provenance from Homer Brett Detailing Bayonets history. Additional pics upon request. 1 of only 3 known to exist. Interesting that Springfield Armory used a 1950\'s Camillus M4 Bayonet to make the 2nd generation SPIW bayonets.This is evidenced by the X marking on the re-drilled pommel plate. This bayonet is pictured both in M.H. Coles Book III, pg 119 and Homer Bretts Book on page 331.You will never see another for sale in my opinion.....DO NOT MISS THIS ONE.Please see Pictures.
