Stuart No. 9 Steam Engine With Flyball Governor And Large Boiler For Sale

Up for sale is a nice Stuart No. 9 Steam Engine With Flyball Governor And Large Boiler. I purchased it at an sale of a large train and steam engine collection so I don\'t know any history on it. The Stuart No. 9 Steam Engine is considered to be one of Stuarts most highly prized engines and isnicely done and turns freely, it is plumbed nicely to the boiler with insulation on the steam line. The No. 9 is 11 inches long and has a flywheel diameter of 5 inches and the bore and stroke are both 1 1/2 inches. The boiler doesn\'t have any markings on it as far as I can see, it could be a custom made one but the pressure gauge says Stuart on it. The boiler is 16 1/2 inches long including the chimney and 13 1/2 inches just the boiler length. It stands 11 inches tall not including the fittings or chimney, it is big. The wood base measures 24 1/2 inches by 18 3/4 inches and all together it all weights about 43 pounds. I would prefer local pickup as the postal service is not very gentle with large heavy packages, I would also consider delivering within a few hundred miles for a fee.
