This adoption is for little reborn Skye . She is a beautiful little girl with incredible realistic features and from a very limited edition of only 500. She started out as a late release \"Skye\" sculpt by the very talented and sought after Marita Winters
I hope you enjoy my interpretation of her representitive of a baby of around 6 weeks in age honestly her photos do not do her justice
A little about me
Many thin layers of paints are applied using different colours and my own technique developed over 9 years of reborning these beautiful babies... When I started out this form of 3 dimensional art was in its infancy. . Since then I have reborned over 650 babies and still strive to perfect each and every one of them, as an artist I am always trying new ways of improving the technique. I will spend many hours photographing them using a digital SLR camera, so you can see what they will look like in your own home. No editing is done except for maybe making them darker or lighter if necessary. My past work includes: prototypes for bountiful baby, taking reborn classes. custom orders for nursing homes and dolls and babies ranging from grandmas to toddlers and newborns. SKIN AND EXTRA DETAIL
her skin has a beautiful healthy glow with tiny veins, capillaries and texture, I have then overlaid this with a matte varnish to prevent future shine, so she will look this beautiful forever
HAIR
Each tiny strand of her baby brown hair is carefully placed to achieve the look of a real baby and looks just like it is growing from her scalp. I have used extremely fine Mohair that sits firmly against the scalp and complimented this with an understory of painted hair.
EYEBROWS
Her eyebrows are delicately hand painted to match her hair and complexion
EYELASHES
Her eyelashes are also hand rooted
BODY
I have given her a quality doe-suede soft body, . Her little head is also weighted and can be moved from side to side,she has full arms and legs and. contains only fine glass beads and fibrefill (no sand) and is so cuddly when nestled in your arms
HANDS AND FEET
Skye has lovely detailed hands and feet with tiny natural colour nail tips. This is overlaid with a slight sheen
KISSABLE LITTLE MOUTH
Her cute little mouth is painted using many different shades with a little bit of moisture added for a natural look.
NOSE
I have gently opened her nose and then sealed and backed with felt to give her a living appearance
Lastly I have added the scent of a real baby, added a magnetic pacifier and given her a stunning quality layette
Baby Skye is now a precious collectors baby to be shared and admired in years to come.
