RARE VINTAGE WWII US M3 KINFOLKS TRENCH FIGHTING KNIFE - NO RESERVE For Sale

Up for sale is a WWII US M3 fighting/trench knife. From Kinfolks website:The M-3 was developed in 1943 forclose hand-to-hand combat by our troops. The M-3 was produced in 1943 and early1944, in May of 1944 it was redesigned to adapt to the M-1 carbine as abayonet. Kinfolks produced about 119,702 of the 2,590,240 M-3 bayonets orderedby the Government. Nine cutlers were involved with the production until thecontracts were converted to the M-4 in late 1944. Stamped \"US M3 Kinfolksin 1943\" or \"US M3 Kinfolks Inc\", later versions were stamped onthe guard to prevent weakening of the blade. OAL was 11 1/2\" with a 63/4\" blade, the leather washered grip has 6 to 8 grooves.This particular knife is guard marked \"U.S. M3 K.I.\" and is tight, with no movement at the pommel or guard. The leather grip has 6 grooves, is well-worn, but doesn\'t appear to have any rot. The pommel has starburst staking and is marked with the Military Ordinance\'s bomb stamp. The scabbard, U.S. M8, is original to the knife and was manufactured by BMCO. It is in good condition with no cracks, fraying or rust.
