Measuring a LONG 50\" in length w/ an 8\" Head, this Coup Stick has a Mythical Beast Animal Head carved into the Burl Knot of the Wood using its natural Burled Shape with an Ear, Horns, Snout and Trade Glass Eyes (Taxidermist Eyes) - Discolored on one side of head where sunlight shinned on it for years in the Collection room. Old Clay Pigment Paint still visible on Carved Beast Head. Note the Carved Fur and Snout Rings on Beast\'s Head as well.Has expected dings and chips but in very Good Solid Condition
Coup Sticks were used to Count Coup proving a Brave\'s Bravery. It consisted of using the Coup Stick (while on Horseback) to Tap or Strike and Enemy with a Non-Lethal or even Playful Blow while risking being killed in the process.
