Rare 1941 Trophy Official League Baseball Tube Radio, Restored Electronics For Sale

Hello. I am selling this 1941 5-tube radio made by Trophy. I am a retired electronics tech and I personally rebuilt the radio with all new capacitors, etc. Also the power cord has been changed. The radio works exceptionally well using the built-in loop antenna. There is also a wire coming out the bottom to hook up an external antenna but that will probably never be needed. The radio shell is made of cardboard with a thin paper skin with the graphics. The base is made of plastic or bakelite and has been repainted by me. The center part of the base where the ball bolts to the base was broken but professionally repaired and is probably stronger than original. There are brass strips around the base in two places and are in nice condition. The main problem with this item is some staining due to moisture sometime in the past. I think it makes it look like a ball that has been in play. This shows up quite well in the pictures. As in most cases the \"Trophy\" name tag that normally sits at the top of the radio is missing. Also the seams are a little uneven where the two halves of the ball come together. The circular bottom cardboard has been replaced. Not much else to add. If you have questions please ask.
