Most seed require a warm soil to a depth of at least 3” in order to encourage germination. When planting by the calendar it disregards weather variations from year to year. Timing plating based on soil temperature helps assure plants get a great start.

The Rapitest Soil Thermometer reads both Fahrenheit and Celsius and has a Durable aluminum casing.
