RARE Vtg 1934 Detroit Tigers Team Signed Reach 3 Finger Baseball Glove w/ JSA :
$10000.00

Up for sale is aRARE Vtg 1934 Tommy Bridges Game Used & Team Signed Reach 3 Finger Baseball Glove. This glove is beyond outstanding and a full size pro model with plush interior and exterior. This glove has been signed by 24 members of the 1934 American League Pennant Winning Detroit Tigers, players including Hank Greenberg, Mickey Cochrane, Del Baker, Chas Gehringer, Cy Perkins, Ray Hayworth (twice with personalization on back), Tommy Bridges (twice with personalization to Perry on back), Goose Goslin, Schoolboy Rowe, Jerry Walker, Roxie Lawson, Frank Reiber, Elden Auker, Chief Hogsett, Joe Sullivan, Bill Rogell, JoJo White, Marvin Owen, General Crowder, Vic Sorrell, Birdie Tebbetts and one signature that\'s very faint below the Sorrell auto that we cannot make out. 24 signatures in all! Glove shows obvious signs of use and wear, but nothing like a fielders mitt. If you look at the Helmar Big League card, they depict him wearing this mitt (we have since contacted them to find out what photo they referenced for that card). This glove has outstanding provenance and was given directly to Perry Deakin (who Bridges and Hayworth both endorsed on the back of pinky) directly from Tommy Bridges post the 1934 season after they had gone ahead and set a new team record with 101 wins and 53 losses. Perry Deakin was the Athletic Director for Southeastern Detroit High School; coaching basketball, baseball, track and much more. He became great friends with the Tigers and Tommy Bridges grew fond of their relationship. This glove was given to the previous owner (who we purchased the mitt from) directly from Perry Deakin after he recalled romanticizing about the mitt for many years, after Perry had brought it to an event at the Detroit Yacht Club. The previous owner was kind enough to write us a letter of provenance detailing the entire history of the mitt. BELOW IS A LITTLE BIT OF INFORMATION on Bridges in 1934!

In 1934, Bridges was 22–11 with 23 complete games to help the Tigers win their first pennant in 25 years. Bridges also surrendered Ruth\'s700th home runon July 13, 1934. In the1934 World Series, Bridges pitched a complete game victory, in a pitching duel withDizzy Dean. Bridges beat Dizzy Dean 3–1, but the Tigers lost the Series in seven games.
