Hello, here is a fantastic early (circa 1812) War of 1812 era Pipe Tomahawk. It sports the original haft that has been worked down (most likely done during period) to its current size. The haft is about 14 1/8\" long. The Axe is about 8.5\" from top of bowl to middle of bit. The eye in the axe is a tear drop shape. This piece has seen its better day, it certainly has been used enough to appear rough. Please see all photos it is a real piece from the time period circa 1812.
