This toy was recently purchased at the estate sale of an Occupied Japan Collector. I will be listing several dozen toys. These toys are marked \"occupied japan\" unless noted otherwise below. These toys date from the late 1940\'s to early 50\'s . Many of the toys have original boxes . Most all of the toys are damage free. The boxes may show wear and some damage. NOTES FOR THIS sale : The previous owner had this toy marked Occupied Japan , however I cannot find any markings other than \"Japan\" and \"Josteele\" . This tin lithograph fire engine is about 6.25\" long and is friction powered . Friction works fine. One front fender siren is missing, and also the aerial ladder extension. The front bumper has a wrinkle , and so does the rear platform/bumper (see photos). There is a scattering of small scratches overall , and some corner/edge wear. Front wheels show paint wear/nicks. No rust on the truck.
