NICE GERMAN NCO SWORD WITH PORTEPEE SWORD KNOT For Sale

This is a very nice example of a German NCO Sword that dates from the early 20th Century and is still wearing its original Portepee Sword Knot. It is mounted with a slightly curved blade that measures 31 7/8 inches in length which remains in very good, original condition with only some minor surface blemishes and is marked by the maker \"WK&C\" just beneath the languet. The nickel plated stirrup guard is simple in design and frames a pretty brown composite covered hilt that also remains in very nice condition with the original twisted wire wrap still tightly in place and only a bit of flaking to the plating. The black lacquered metal scabbard is lightly scuffed with a couple of minor dings near the drag but does remain in very nice serviceable condition. Still present, is the beautiful, original Portepee Sword Knot that remains in extremely nice, healthy condition. Overall measuring 38 inches in length.
