Offered for yourconsideration is an antique JOEL ELLIS Wooden Doll. This wonderful doll measures 15\" tall. These dolls were made only from 1873 to 1874 in Vermont. It is considered one of the first commercially made American Dolls. They commonly have peeling and flaking paint throughout and she is no exception. She has no paint touch ups. The dolls unique mortise and tendon construction allow it to have complete range of movement. Her hands and feet are made of metal. There is flaking on her left hand.
