For sale is an early salesman sample / miniature floor safe. This miniature is extremely heavy for its tiny size, roughly 30 pounds. The dimensions are as follows; Height 101/4 inches including base, Depth7 inches, and Width or distance across front is63/8 inches. The iron castors that hold the moving wheels stick out a hair beyond the dimensions listed above. The lock is unmarked however the keys are stamped SARGENT & GREENLEAF INC. ROCHESTER NY USA. I have two keys. Upon close inspection of the lock it appears it is likely a replacement as it is so bright and shiny.The paint and graphics are very interesting and intricate. There is rust in areas though nothing thru, as well as paint loss. Please look at photos to judge condition and value for yourself. If you are a collector of safes or strongboxes you know miniatures like this rarely come to market, and when they do they cost a lot.With that said I am listing with a BUY IT NOW or BEST OFFER. The buy it now will represent what I think the safe is worth based on recent sales in particular the Morphy sale which just sold a collection of safes including many miniatures.
