Here is a real rare item these days! This is the early M3 Trench Knife marked on the blade made by Utica Cutlery Co. of Utica, New York during World War II. The Trench Knife has a parkerized blade and in is marked U.S. M3 Utica on the blade. The scabbard is marked U.S. M8 and still has its leather tie attached to the bottom of the scabbard. This M3 is still in its original box. The box has the following information on the top on the top: 1-Knife, Trench, M3 Drawing No. 20-2B-52 1-Scabbard, Trench Knife M8 Drawing No. 20-2B-57 Contract No. W740-ORD-3450 Supplement No. 3 S.N.L. No. B-37 Item Stock Code Nos. Knife-B1-01-0023 Scabbard-B-001-04-81600 Manufacturer Utica Cutlery Co. Utica, New York. The box is in very good condition for its age. The bottom has separated from one corner some light staining on the inside in a little bit of the paper covering is missing on one corner of the top the box.
