The highlight of Len Barker III's (b.1955) up and down 11 years in the majors was 5-15-81. On that day, the right-hander pitcher a perfect game no-hitter, striking out 11 Blue Jays for the Indians. In his 11 seasons, he pitched for the Rangers 91976-1978), Indians (1979-1983), Braves (1983-1985), and 11 appearances for the Brewers (1987). In 248 games, he was 74-76, with 7 shut-outs, 5 saves, and a 4.34 ERA. In 1980, Barker had his best season, winning a career best 19 games (19-12), with career high and league leading 187 strike-outs. During the strike-shortened season of 1981, in addition to his perfect game, he was 8-7 for the season with league leading 127 strike-outs, and made the All-Star team. From 1983 until the end of his career, Barker experienced arm problems, and spent time on the DL several times. His major league career ended at age 32.
