Forsale is an original Tiffany Favrile salt made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The salt stands 1 1/8\" tall and is 2 1/2\" in diameter at its widest point. The foot or the bottom of the salt is2\" in diameter. There are10 individual ruffles. The gold Aurene luster or iridescent is just outstanding!!! You can see beautifulfuchsia colored hues on the brilliant gold iridescent on the bottom and when the piece is sitting flat strong hues of blue emit from the piece. When you look into the salt it almost appears to have a pure goldappearance because of the strong gold hues. This Tiffany salt is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is 1 very tiny scratch on the outside and you really have to look hard to find this. The salt is signed with the etched \"L.C.T. Favrile\" along with the number 210 lightly etched into the counter sunk polished pontil. I believe that this is a the catalog shape number in the Tiffany Favrile catalog pages. I have seen this same number on this form many times in the past. This salt has 10 ruffles and this is somewhat Rare. When this are usually found they have only 8 ruffles. This salt is also known as the \"Queen\" style in the Tiffany catalog pages.This is a must own for those who collect Tiffany and Quezal art glass salts. If you are looking for a salt to add to your collection that isin excellent condition and somewhat unique,look no further, and don\'t let this one slip by you! This piece was made circa 1900-1920.
